Travel by Rail from Heathrow Airport to St Pancras
You will need to reach London Kings Cross St Pancras rail station in order to catch a train to Loughborough. Kings Cross and St Pancras are two physically separate railway stations adjacent to one another, sharing the same Underground Station. There are two ways to reach central London: Heathrow Express or London Underground.
Heathrow Express
If you are flying into Heathrow Airport, the easiest way to get into central London is using the Heathrow Express train. You should allow approximately an hour for this part of your journey.
Heathrow Express trains stop at Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 5. Passengers travelling to Terminal 4 should change on to the free transfer train at Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 (connecting trains every 15 minutes, journey time 4 minutes). You will need to get off at the Paddington Station stop.
Once you arrive at Paddington Station, you can either take a taxi to Kings Cross St Pancras station which will cost approximately £10.00 or you can take the Underground train from Paddington to St Pancras.
Option 1: Bakerloo line/Metropolitan line = 14 mins
Option 2: Hammersmith & City line or Circle line, 13 mins
London Underground
You can catch the Piccadilly Line from all Heathrow Terminals heading towards Cockfosters. This underground train will take you directly to Kings Cross St Pancras Underground station. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and will cost around £5.00.
Travel by Rail from Gatwick Airport to St Pancras
There are lots of options for getting to London by train from Gatwick:
Option 1: The Gatwick Express - A non-stop train service to Victoria runs every 15 minutes with a journey time of 30 minutes
Option 2: Southern trains services - These operate four times an hour to Victoria via East Croydon and Clapham Junction with a journey time to Victoria of around 35 minutes
Option 3: Thameslink & Great Northern trains - These services go to London Bridge, St Pancras International and Luton Airport and also run four times an hour with a journey time of between 30 and 45 minutes.

Once at Loughborough’s railway station you are just ten minutes away from the campus. From here there is a regular bus service which operates.
